New taxes on the horizon? V. Šapoka urges to prepare for slowed growth and seeks ways to increase budget revenue

President Gitanas Nausėda is continuing his meetings with the interim cabinet ministers, receiving Minister of Finance Vilius Šapoka on Friday. In the Presidential Palace, they discussed measures to increase state budget revenue. According to G. Nausėda’s advisor, new taxes could be implemented, but it is crucial that they would not burden low income citizens.
