"For now, all the energy resources that are available for export are fully exhausted, but we are optimistic that in the future, we will have new findings and we will be able to export to Lithuania. We are looking very favorably to this opportunity, but at the moment we don't have enough capacity to do that," Sayyid Al Busaidi, the secretary general of the Oman Foreign Ministry, told reporters at the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

Oman is rich in natural resources, oil and gas, and has a liquefied gas terminal.

Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė said that Lithuanian companies were discovering new business opportunities in Oman.

"A delegation of Lithuanian information technology companies has recently visited Oman, and I am very optimistic about the countries' cooperation in the field of information technologies," she said.

A delegation of Omani diplomats is visiting Lithuania on Thursday through Saturday. Bilateral political consultations were held at the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry on Friday morning to discuss the development of economic relations between the countries and the strengthening of the bilateral legal base.
