Retal Baltic hopes to bag orders from Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola

Retal Baltic, the manufacturer of bottle caps and plastic film for food packaging that is part of Ukrainian-owned Retal Industries group, plans to further speed up its growth so as to tap open possibilities in the European market and continues to invest in manufacturing, the Verslo Žinios business daily reports.

The company had acquired a 1.5-million-euro cap production line and would install a 6-million-euro A-PET film production line, which would enable the company to increase the output of this product to 15,000 tons per year, from 6,000 tons, Retal Baltic CEO Giedrius Viederis told the daily.

The company has placed bids in several international tenders for the manufacturing of HDPE caps. In particular, it hopes to bag orders from soft drinks giants, such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Cola.

The company expects its turnover to increase to 15 million litas (EUR 4.35m) this year.
