Grupo Cortefiel said that it opened its first stores in Riga last Wednesday.
The group plans to open stores throughout the Baltics for all of its brands, including Cortefiel, Pedro del Hierro, Women'secret, and Springfield, in cooperation with Estonia's Karkat Fashion.
The online news site Delfi.lv reported that the first Cortefiel, Springfield, and Women‘secret stores in the Baltics opened for business at Galleria Riga, a mall in the Latvian capital, on 14 November. The Estonian company reportedly invested 800,000 euros in the store openings.
Karkat Fashion Group plans to open another 12 Cortefiel stores in the Baltic countries next year.
Grupo Cortefiel is present in 63 countries with around 3,700 outlets and stores. It posted 954 million euros in revenue and employed a workforce of around 8,300 last year.
