Tens of thousands of Lithuanians value this innovative and free of charge bill payment app

The bill payment app Perlas Go, which was released several months ago, already has tens of thousands of Lithuanian users – they scan their bills. They can make payments immediately without leaving home. All that is required is a smartphone and most importantly – neither the app nor paying bills come at any cost.

“Seeing the rapid growth in clients, we can claim with certainty that Lithuanians definitely needed the option to pay their bills quickly, conveniently and without leaving home. Of course, the restrictions imposed by the lockdown also played a role. While they have been loosened, the skills people have learnt will remain for a long time. As such, we have no doubt that upon trying the Perlas Go app once, people will continue using it,” Kęstutis Gataveckas, the director of payment service company Perlas Finance, says.

All in one

The intuitive app allows paying bills for water, gas, electricity, heating, cable television, kindergartens, making payments to the State Tax Inspectorate and Sodra.

IN total, the app covers more than 2 thousand service providers – all the ones, whose services can be paid for at Perlas terminals in stores and retail chains. And if you do not find a company or institution you need, you can always create a payment template of your own and simply perform a bank transfer via Perlas Go.

However, K. Gataveckas notes that such cases are rare – usually people pay bills to several hundred main service providers and they can all be found on Perlas Go.

For yourself and your grandparents

According to the Perlas Finance director, many people are used to paying their bills at the end of the month, but certainly, not all – current conditions result in payments being made throughout the entire month. Perlas Go allows you to plan your finances more flexibly and decide yourself when you want to pay what bills – all at once or just part of them.

Perlas Go allows the payment of not only one’s own bills but also those of your relatives, thus helping those, who might find it difficult to do. “It is straightforward to use the app. However, if your parents, grandparents or elderly neighbours do not have a smartphone, you can pay their bills in their stead. To make this more convenient, a single app can hold several different payment lists,” K. Gataveckas says.

Suffices to scan the bill

Another function people enjoy and use frequently is the scanning of bills. Just like when paying bills at physical Perlas terminals, similarly with the Perlas Go app, by using your phone’s camera, you can simply scan the bar code on the bill, and the payment order will be formed automatically.

If you do not have a bill or if there is no bar code on it, you can input the data into the app manually.

Perlas Go also allows making both one-time and periodic payments. If the service supplier provides meter data, it is renewed on the app automatically, and the user needs only pay the bill with a single button press. There are already over 120 service providers, whose outstanding fees are automatically updated, and this is continuously expanded.

Convenient to pay and retain for a long time

Perlas Go payments can be made by bank transfer, using any electronic banking service or cash at one of the 2.4 thousand Perlas terminals dotted around Lithuania.

If the user permits it, the app reminds about outstanding fees, saves a detailed payment history.

Perlas Go works on phones with the iOS and Android operating systems.

The launch of Perlas Go is part of Perlas’ renewal. One of the oldest brands to emerge after the restoration of Lithuanian independence and being recognised for 25 years now, the brand renewed its visual identity last year, became more modern and in the future will continue expanding its service offerings and audiences.
