The Lithuanian Finance Ministry raises EUR 23.2 mln via bond auction

The Lithuanian Finance Ministry sold 80 million litas (EUR 23.2 mln) worth of two-year government bonds, falling due in 443 days, at an average yield of 0.81 percent via an auction on Monday.

The two-year issue was launched on Jun. 4, 2012, and was last reopened on Oct. 8 with 80 million litas worth of securities sold at an average yield of 1.183 percent. Monday’s auction brings the total nominal size of the issue to 320 million litas.

On Monday, the lowest yield bid received was 0.805 percent, and the highest yield accepted was 0.82 percent. The issue carries a coupon rate of 2.3 percent.

Bids worth 253.306 million litas in total were placed for the auction, including 247.5 million litas worth of competitive bids.

The issue matures on Jun. 7, 2014.
