Lithuanian Transport Minister Eligijus Masiulis told BNS that he was aware of the plans, but added that no concrete agreements had been reached yet.
"There are such intentions, but this matter is still in the process. There are no final agreements at the moment. Tickets are not on sale yet. We have been informed about such intentions. It is quite realistic that these intentions will be put to practice," he said.
The minister said that the carrier could launch flights in autumn.
The airline says on its website that this year it will replace its Istanbul-Riga route with Istanbul-Vilnius-Riga and Istanbul-Riga-Tallinn routes. It does not say when it could launch these flights.
