The airline says in its booklet that it will operate Vilnius-Istanbul flights three times a week starting on 18 June.
Sandra Šiaulienė, a spokeswoman for Vilnius Airport, told BNS that she could confirm that the Turkish carrier would offer the flights, but added that there had been no official announcements yet as to the time and frequency. It is not known yet what aircraft will serve the route.
Following several years of negotiations, Turkish Airlines earlier this year said on its website that it would launch an Istanbul-Vilnius-Riga route in September, but later postponed the plans.
The airline now flies from Riga to Istanbul five times a week.
