What will Lithuania look like upon spending a bag of billions: no more need for empty centres or expensive training

Free economic zones, air and seaports, electrical energy accumulation installations, new research centres and institutes, research, staff training or business digitisation – this is the bill the cabinet has taken to pay by the end of next year, allocating an extra 2.2 billion euro in the DNA Plan. For comparison, this is a larger sum than the entire state budget in 2001. While the plan itself has received praise, economists are most concerned over whether it will be possible to appropriately select and implement the investment within such a brief period. Once again, there is also a lack of specifics observed in the education sector.
