Analysts have advised to invite Belarussian representatives to the uprising participants’ reburial ceremony in Vilnius. According to them, it would not only be an opportunity to send a political message to Moscow, but also to discuss the security of Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant. A political scientist contacted by 15min stated that President Gitanas Nausėda should change the policy of not talking to Minsk.

BNS reports that on Tuesday, President Gitanas Nausėda discussed questions related to Belarus in a meeting with political scientists that was not announced on the agenda. This discussion included inviting Belarussian representatives to participate in the reburial ceremony of the remains of participants of the 1863-1864 uprising. It should be held in Vilnius in November.
