A number of incidents were reported during the Wednesday's game between two Vilnius clubs, Polonia and Zalgiris-3. A firecracker was thrown from the Polonia fan zone into the field at the end of the second half, burning a large hole in the artificial turf.

„We will have to repair the field. I cannot say how much time it will take, as we haven't managed to get in touch with the person from the Lithuanian Soccer Federation in charge of the repairs. I may be wrong but I think we'll need to repair a full line in the stadium, which hosts top-level matches of the national team,“ said Zalgiris executive director Vilma Venslovaitiene who personally saw the incident.

She could not specify whether the stadium will be suitable for the Aug. 29 UEFA Europa League return match between Zalgiris and Salzburg.

„I believe the LFF has the line we need and it will be installed soon, however, I cannot say everything will be intact for the Europa League match,“ Venslovaitiene said.
