According to the survey, 36 percent of respondents said they would like to go abroad for a short period of time to work or study.
However, nearly half of those polled (48.8 percent) said they would not like to emigrate at all.
Almost half of those wanting to emigrate for good or on a temporary basis (57.8 percent) said they would do everything to make sure that their children or grandchildren are Lithuanian.
Another 16.4 percent of respondents of the group said they would not want their children to be Lithuanian but adapt to the culture of the country they lived in. A fourth said they were not thinking about it.
The survey of 1,001 respondents across Lithuania was carried out by public opinion and market research company Spinter Tyrimai (Spinter Surveys) on 16-24 January.
