The first days in Lithuanian quarantine appeared as if we will all soon fall ill and our remaining living relatives can already start preparing the funeral. This is not to speak of mass hysteria, accusations, seeking whom to blame, a confused and unprofessional government reaction – sometimes excessive, sometimes insufficient. All that was left was to start getting the coffin ready. The second week of quarantine is ongoing, there’s less tumult, but it still seems as if we are awaiting the “fateful” kiss from the angel of death Azrael. Or perhaps it’s time to cool off a little?
