Julius Naščenkovas. LSDP electoral programme analysis – a bright tomorrow from the left

October 11 is being advertised as an opportunity to elect new members of Seimas. The candidates themselves say that much more is at stake – Lithuania’s strategic direction for at least four years. But in fact, we will be choosing organisations and people who will obtain the right to distribute offices, rights and common resources in the name of us all. That we dedicate far too little attention to getting to know our candidates is well portrayed by widespread surprise every time a new government begins passing its first legislation.
