Jurgis Razma. It is not the Presidential Palace or the cabinet that are centres of political power

The hopes of voters that the festering swamp of the Farmer-Greens will be stirred up after the presidential elections and an active cabinet will be formed, with unsuccessful ministers replaced is not fated to come true.

The forming of a new coalition and minister replacements revealed that all this was needed by Ramūnas Karbauskis – to strengthen his political powers. Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, after losing in the elections laid down his arms and became only a passive observer. He has likely come to terms that he will only be a tool for R. Karbauskis.
