Up to the COVID-19 crisis, it appeared rather unlikely that the “Farmers” (LVŽS) would win the Seimas elections. The previous year was marked with losses by the “Farmers” and Ramūnas Karbauskis. Third place in the municipal council and European Parliament elections. The Homeland Union (TS-LKD) and the Social Democrats (LSDP) surpassed the LVŽS by a significant degree in both cases.
