We will find out who is to become the next chairperson of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP) on May 9 at the latest. If the party chairperson elections do not go on into a second round, the answer to this question will arrive two weeks earlier. Four candidates are vying for the post of party chairperson – members of the European Parliament Juozas Olekas and Vilija Blinkevičiūtė, VU TSPMI docent Liutauras Gudžinskas and Akmenė region Mayor Vitalijus Mitrofanovas.
