A. Jakubauskas after sacking from the LGGRTC: Lithuania and the centre often face pressure from Israel and Russia on how it should study its history

Dismissed from the Genocide and Resistance Research Centre of Lithuania (LGGRTC) by the Seimas, Adas Jakubauskas repeats that he was sacked not due to leadership problems, but because he refused to yield to political pressure to denounce the participants of the June 1941 uprising without scientific proof. He also explains that Lithuania and the centre itself often face pressure from Israel and Russia on how Lithuanian history is to be studied, how certain historical figures are to be viewed.
