A year of G. Nausėda’s presidency: why a foot stomp didn’t frighten the coalition and the “boy mistake”

Gitanas Nausėda was elected Lithuanian president a year ago and took office officially on July 12. While he has settled in the public opinion polls as the most popular politician in the country, presidential authority was not maintained in the political summit – the coalition is unconcerned when it occasionally disregards his words, public figures do not spare him of criticism. It is clear that much is invested in the president’s image, but not all the efforts are yielding good results. For example, a number of experts pointed out stories about curious little boys were a communications failure.
