Coalition puzzle: most bickering over the same office as in 2016

The office of Minister of Social Security and Labour is becoming the most important when negotiating on a new coalition agreement. Same as in 2016, it is pursued by the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union [LVŽS] and the coalition partners with social democrat in their name. Some three years ago, this post was promised to the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party [LSDP], but traded for the Ministry of Economy in the last moment, which later led to the party’s break-up. Will Social Democrat Labour, who split off from the LSDP in the name of the coalition, manage to obtain the once yielded Social Security and Labour Ministry and why does everyone care so much about this post?
