Economist about Belarus’ threats of closing the border: who would suffer the most in Lithuania?

Belarussian leader Alexander Lukashenko, whom the West does not recognise, declared on Thursday that Belarus is closing its border to Lithuania and Poland. According to economists, if these threats are upheld, no tragedy will occur, but the transport sector and furniture producers, biofuel power plants and metal product makers who import cheap raw materials from Belarus will be unable to avoid losses.
