“Farmers” and Labour clinch cooperation agreement: S. Skvernelis to become Seimas opposition leader

The opposition Lithuanian Farmer and Greens Union (LVŽS) and Labour Party (DP) Seimas groups signed a coalition agreement on Tuesday. Among other things, it indicates that the Seimas opposition leader will be elected. Initially, it will go to former Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, representing the “Farmers.” The Social Democrats, who are also working in the opposition, did not join hands with the other opposition parties, just like at the end of last Seimas term.
