Friday – Day X or what the launch of Astravyets looks like

The Belarussian government has announced that on Friday, nuclear fuel will begin being loaded onto the first reactor of Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant. This will be its “physical” launch. Institutions reveal in detail what this means and when the power plant will actually begin generating electricity. Once this occurs, Lithuania will halt trading electricity with Belarus, but theoretically, this could increase electricity prices in the country.
