G. Nausėda perceives a niche for a new party: what does the president want?

President Gitanas Nausėda believes that a new political power could emerge in Lithuania because certain parties do not operate based on the ideas defined in their names. Some political scientists have no doubt that these talks by the head of state are also related to his wish to have greater clout in the Seimas, elections to which are due next year.

Currently, 25 political parties operate in our country. From the traditional Social Democrats, Conservatives, Liberals and Greens to the Samogitian, Emigrants parties, the Generation Solidarity Union and such.
