Interest in ministry mergers continues, but no actions to be seen

A proposal has been presented to Seimas to merge the ministries of economics and innovation and energy. President Gitanas Nausėda has mused that in the future, the ministries of social security and labour and healthcare could be merged. While ideas about the mergers of certain ministries have been floating around for a number of terms, they have not come to fruition.
