Lithuanian Social Democrats still undecided on Vytautas Gapšys no-confidence vote

"We still haven't discussed the matter at the party, but we were told that Gapsys will probably visit all political groups shortly," Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius of the Social Democrats told journalists after a meeting of the political council on Monday.

On Tuesday, the first day of the fall session, the opposition Homeland Union–Lithuanian Christian Democrats (Conservatives) intend to collect signatures of parliamentarians in support of removing Gapšys.

Gapšys, the leader of the Labor Party (Laborists), has been found guilty in the Labor Party's bookkeeping fraud case and imposed a fine of 35,750 litas (EUR 10,360).
