Minsk-Vilnius relations continue to worsen: what changes will a new minister bring?

With the start of mass protests in Belarus, Lithuania took on a loud and clear position directed against Alexander Lukashenko. More than two months later, Lithuania’s proposals for resolving the crisis have not been heeded, new sanctions have been imposed and the number of diplomats has been reduced. The next head of the Lithuanian diplomatic corps who will replace Linas Linkevičius could soften the tone of conversation, but could we expect breakthroughs in policy?
