New demarche from the ruling coalition? Why the Constitutional Court is in the crosshairs

The Constitutional Court and its chairman Dainius Žalimas have landed in the crosshairs of the ruling coalition. The question is being raised if the chairman is suitably leading the court, calls are appearing for him and the Conservatives to explain themselves over alleged meetings. Furthermore, the coalition also continues to take issue with jurists being proposed to take seat in the Constitutional Court (KT). Experts note that the KT will soon be looking into important questions regarding the coalition’s decisions, thus this could be interpreted as politicians seeking to intimidate the court and pressure it.
