Opposition bid to unseat NSGK chairman fails: his own vote proves decisive

The Seimas National Security and Defence Committee (NSGK) will continue to be chaired by “Farmer” Dainius Gaižauskas – a no-confidence vote initiated by the opposition on Wednesday did not succeed. The bid to have the NSGK led by another parliamentarian received support from six committee members, while another six voted against. The vote then came down to NSGK chairman D. Gaižauskas’ vote.
