Party leaders respond to the president’s decision: opinion to be considered

With the president rejecting the nomination to the seat of minister of transport and communications, the Freedom Party will look to nominate a new candidate, the party leader Aušrinė Armonaitė says. She would not comment on the arguments presented by the head of state as to why Kasparas Adomaitis was found unsuitable for the position. The Seimas speaker and Liberal Movement leader Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen says that she expected that the president would receive the party’s nominated ministers positively. She had no remarks on the process of cabinet formation.
