Peak tensions: why have the Conservatives become the “Farmers’” enemy number one?

Tensions between the ruling Lithuanian Farmer and Greens Union (LVŽS) and the opposition Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD) have reached a peak. Especially with Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis calling the Conservatives an “anti-state party.” According to political scientists, such developments are to be expected with the Seimas elections looming on the horizon.
