Political scientist on the games in the new Seimas: sweet payback for the coalition parties while the opposition is scattered

Political scientist Rima Urbonaitė says that the decision to appoint Andrius Mazuronis of Labour as a Seimas vice speaker was a display of how this ruling coalition will play the exact same political games and that it’s just how it is in politics – if you can strengthen yourself, that is what you do. Meanwhile, according to the political scientist, the opposition will either reach an agreement this week or, just like the previous term, there will long be no opposition leader for the first part of this term.
