Former minister of energy Jaroslav Neverovič, who later turned to the private sector, returned to politics as President Gitanas Nausėda’s chief advisor for environment and infrastructure issues and at least in the energy sector, has the greatest amount of experience in the president’s team. In an exclusive interview with 15min, he admitted that the decision to purchase Russian liquefied natural gas through the LNG terminal is questionable and there should be a framework for this. He does not believe that Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant could offer a lower price of electricity than can currently be found in the market in Lithuania.

Today, he is once again forced to deal with state energy projects and not only. J.Neverovič is the head of the Presidential Palace’s Environment and Infrastructure Group.
