Presidential Palace opposes Ministry of Agriculture move to Kaunas

The Presidential Palace has implied that it does not approve of the Ministry of Agriculture being moved to Kaunas, paying the highest market price for renting premises in the city. According to the Presidential Palace, analysis has not been performed on what is rational to move – the ministry or its subordinate institutions.

President Gitanas Nausėda’s chief advisor, head of the Environment and Infrastructure group Jaroslavas Neverovičius announced in late July that he requested the Ministry of Agriculture to present a cost and benefit analysis for the planned move to Kaunas, as well as the financing sources for the project.
