Riot next to the Seimas: why did G. Nausėda stay silent a little longer?

A raging crowd not only blocked off the Seimas on Tuesday but even caused a riot, acted violently by throwing rocks and bottles, kicking and using explosives against police officers on duty. Some of the country’s top officials have stated their opinions on the riots: Seimas Speaker Viktorija Čmilytė-Nielsen, Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonytė, Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis and others. The Simonas Daukantas Square Palace broke its silence on Thursday.
