Rolandas Kriščiūnas appointed as Lithuania's 3rd foreign vice-minister

Rolandas Kriščiūnas, who has served as finance vice-minister for the past three years, has been appointed as Lithuania's third vice-minister of foreign affairs, the ministry said on its website.

Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius, a Social Democrat, earlier designated Vytautas Leškevičius and Neris Germanas as vice-ministers.

Kriščiūnas, 42, served in the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry's Economic Department in 1993-1998, worked at the Lithuanian Embassy to the United States in 1998-2001, joined the staff of the Finance Ministry in 2001 and served as the undersecretary at the ministry between 2004 and 2009.
