After presenting the president with the renewed ministerial cabinet on Wednesday, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis stated that “the best result we could have” was achieved thanks to joint efforts. However, already in the evening on Dienos Tema, he denied his words and conceded that the cabinet could have worked successfully without changing a single minister. Even earlier, the same S. Skvernelis stated that the cabinet needs fundamental changes. So, what cabinet did S. Skvernelis actually want and what did he get?

Last Wednesday it emerged that three ministers would be replaced in the cabinet. The office of minister of transport would go from Rokas Masiulis to member of Seimas Jaroslavas Narkevičius, the office of minister of interior affairs would go from Eimutis Misiūnas to member of Seimas Rita Tamašunienė and the office of minister of agriculture from Giedrius Surplys to member of Seimas Andrius Palionis.
