Seimas elections 2020: “Farmers” and Social Democrat Labour to not compete in districts

The leaders of the cooperating Lithuanian Farmer and Greens Union (LVŽS) and Lithuanian Social Democratic Labour Party (LSDDP) plan to only compete in the multi-mandate district in next year’s Seimas elections, while in single mandate districts they will coordinate candidates. It is expected that other coalition partners will not disregard such a plan as well.

LSDDP chairman Gediminas Kirkilas already expressed earlier that the coalition parties – the “Farmers”, Social Democrat Labour, Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania and “Order and Justice” should run with a single electoral roll.
