Shadow cabinet evaluated: contains only Karbauskis loyalists. Why was S. Skvernelis side-lined?

Political scientists consulted by 15min have said that the decision by the largest Seimas opposition group, the “Farmers”, to form a shadow cabinet and appoint ministers should not be overestimated. They believe that this cabinet only features those who passed party leader Ramūnas Karbauskis‘ filter. What is most peculiar is that we do not see former Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis among these individuals and this raises the question of why. Perhaps R. Karbauskis no longer needs him, or perhaps he is thinking of ending his political career?
