Social Democrats propose Gediminas Kirkilas and Algirdas Sysas for parliament deputy speakers

Algirdas Butkevičius, leader of the Social Democratic Party of Lithuania, told reporters on Thursday his party would nominate Gediminas Kirkilas and Algirdas Sysas for deputy speakers of the Seimas (parliament).

The Labour Party's candidate for speaker of the Seimas will be Vydas Gedvilas.

The Order and Justice party has also chosen its candidate and will nominate Kęstas Komskis for deputy speaker of the Seimas.

The Social Democratic Party of Lithuania, the Labour Party and the Order and Justice party have signed a coalition agreement.
