TS-LKD holds the strongest positions, but is more concerned with leaving no one discontent

The Homeland Union – Lithuanian Christian Democrats (TS-LKD), the Liberal Movement and the Freedom Party are currently in the process of forming a coalition and hold a combined 74 mandates. In a mathematical distribution of posts, everything is simple – most of the cabinet should belong to the Conservatives. However, political scientists consulted by 15min emphasise that the TS-LKD’s task will be to ensure that in the sharing of power, no one is left slighted because, in the future, this could impact the government’s stability. According to the experts, the Conservatives understand that without their coalition partners, they will struggle and their junior partners will exploit this.
