V. Šapoka on the looming financial crisis: if there will be no second wave, we will recover, but taxes will not be decreased

There are increasingly many voices questioning whether Lithuania might experience another financial crisis and whether we will have sufficient funds. Are we prepared for such a crisis and are such concerns baseless? Minister of Finance Vilius Šapoka seeks to reassure that while the country’s economic growth will have been suppressed, the measures the cabinet and businesses are undertaking will yield results and Lithuania will rapidly recover. Borrowed funds and state offered support will help ensure the country’s economy is revitalised and massive losses are avoided.
