When asked about Croatia's stance on Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic's candidacy for the post, Pusic said that it came too late, and added that Lithuania's bid was made in 2004 and that the country started lobbying the members of the organization to vote for their candidate twelve months ago.

"Croatia has backed Lithuania and will keep its word," she underlined, and added that she said that to Jeremic as well, Croatia's news agency HINA reported.

Lithuania is delegating Dalius Čekuolis, the country's representative at the UN, for the post.
