Google data: good news and bad news – why COVID-19 cases are not declining

Following the return of lockdown, Lithuanian citizens spend less time in shopping and leisure establishments, public transport and work. Instead, they spend more time at home, in grocery stores, pharmacies and parks. That said, according to economist Aleksandras Izgorodinas, it was not observed that there would have been a vast decrease in visits to mass gathering locations, which makes it unsurprising that the number of COVID-19 cases in Lithuania is not decreasing.
