Lithuania's Donatas Montvydas qualifies for Eurovision song contest finals

Donatas Montvydas, Lithuania's entry for the 57th Eurovision song contest, is also known by his stage name Donny Montell, has qualified for the finals that will take place in Baku on Saturday night.

After the second semifinals in the new Crystal Hall in the capital of Azerbaijan on Thursday evening, Montvydas' Love is Blind was the first song to be named among qualifiers.

Other countries from the second semis that proceeded to the finals include Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Macedonia, Malta, Norway, Serbia, Sweden, Turkey and Ukraine.

The number of votes collected by each country from the audience and the commission is withheld.

Countries from the first semifinals include Albania, Cyprus, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Moldova, Romania and Russia.

Eurovision 2012 finals are scheduled for Saturday, with performances from ten winners of both semis and entries from Azerbaijan, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom. France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany and Spain pay the highest fees to the Eurovision budget, therefore they automatically qualify for the finals. Azerbaijan did not have to compete in the semifinals as the host country of this year's contest.

Montvydas will perform fourth in Saturday's concert.
