Lithuania sought to encourage Turkey-EU dialogue, but becomes Ankara’s hostage in NATO – Turkey is blocking the Alliance’s defence plans for the Baltic States and Poland. A political scientist explained to 15min that this step by Ankara is a result of changes in the situation of Turkey and the region. According to her, due to Turkey’s close association with Russia, Lithuania should view this country with more criticism.
