"We are leaning towards making the foreign language exam compulsory," the minister told BNS after a ministerial meeting which considered making the foreign language and math exams for schools graduates compulsory within three years.
The final decision has not been made yet, Pavalkis has noted.
Ministerial representatives have said the plunging level of student's knowledge makes them consider increasing the number of compulsory graduation exams.
Currently, all school graduates in Lithuania must take the compulsory Lithuanian language exam.
