Lithuanian Prime Minister invited to World Economic Forum in Davos

Lithuania's Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius met with Klaus Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, in China on Wednesday and received a personal invitation to attend the meeting in Davos, the prime minister's press service informs.

The meeting is traditionally held in the Swiss ski resort Davos in January. By then, Kubilius might not be the head of the Lithuanian government anymore.

Lithuanian leaders have not been invited to the prestigious forum over the past years. Lithuania's then president Valdas Adamkus attended the meeting in 2001, 2008 and 2009, but Lithuanian state heads have not received invitations since.
