According to the press release, Belarusian prosecutors were provided with information in the criminal investigation that is related with the pre-trial probe underway in Lithuania in connection to the July 4 unlawful crossing of the state border on a light plane.
The press release did not specify the information sent to Belarus.
Lithuanian prosecutors said the information was provided in the framework of a bilateral treaty on legal assistance and civil relations in civil, family, and criminal cases.
Lithuania's law-enforcement opened its investigation into the unlawful border crossing more than a month after the incident, on August 14. The investigation is carried out by the State Border Guard Service and is controlled by the Prosecutor General's Office.
The Swedish campaign is known as the teddy-bear stunt, which led to sacking of Belarusian chiefs of anti-aircraft defense and state border guard agencies.
