Lithuanian song moves on to Eurovision finals

Andrius Pojavis and his song, Lithuania's entry for the Eurovision song contest in Malmo, Sweden, passed the semifinals on Tuesday and qualified for the finals scheduled for Saturday.

At the 58th Eurovision, Pojavis was the 10th to go on stage with his song Something, authored by himself.

The first semifinals featured a total of 16 songs, with Irish, Belarusian, Belgian, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Moldovan, Russian, and Ukrainian entries qualifying for Saturday's finals.

Singers and bands from another 17 countries will compete for finals in the second semifinals on Thursday.

Eurovision founders and sponsors – Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, and Spain – along with this year's host Sweden have already secured slots in the finals. A total of 39 countries are competing in the Eurovision song contest this year.
